What is public information?

Information that is collected, assembled, or maintained under a law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by a governmental body or for a governmental body and the latter owns the information or has a right of access to it.

How will I receive the records in response to my request?

In most cases, the City will provide an email response to your request within ten (10) business days after submission. However, if the records cannot be provided to you within that time frame, you will be contacted of the anticipated date the records will become available. In some cases requests may require an opinion from the Attorney General. In this instance you will be notified of the status not later than the tenth (10th) business day.
